At Marymount we believe that language learning opens doors to new cultures, perspectives, and opportunities. Our French program is designed to inspire curiosity and confidence in communication, while fostering a deep appreciation for global diversity.
In Years 5 and 6, students participate in dedicated French lessons that build foundational language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Through interactive activities, games, and real-life scenarios, students develop the ability to communicate in French and gain insights into a different culture.
In Years 3 and 4, our focus is on cultural exposure and global awareness. Students explore French traditions, celebrations, music, art, and everyday life through engaging opportunities and classroom experiences. This early exposure nurtures an openness to different ways of thinking and lays the groundwork for future language learning.
